Oleksandr Usyk, currently holding the WBA, WBO, and IBF World Heavyweight titles, has responded to provocative statements made by his upcoming opponent, Daniel Dubois. Dubois has been vocal about his belief that Usyk fears him.
However, Usyk, a native of Ukraine, dismisses his British adversary as both misleading and overly emotional in his assertions.
Addressing Dubois' claims, Usyk stated, "The only thing he could see in my eyes was light. Do I look like a man afraid of Daniel? He has no confidence. He’s just talking about confidence. He’s a little bit too young and too emotional," in an interview with Boxing News 24.
The eagerly awaited bout between Usyk and Dubois is scheduled for August 26 at the Tarczyński Arena in Wroclaw, Poland. The upcoming face-off is stirring up significant excitement among boxing fans and is projected to be a standout event in the heavyweight division.
