USA Boxing Federation Parts Ways with Controversial IBA

USA Boxing has announced the termination of its membership with the International Boxing Association (IBA) and has applied for membership in the World Boxing International Federation (World Boxing). In April, World Boxing expressed its intention to gain recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and host Olympic boxing tournaments.

It should be noted that representatives from USA Boxing have joined the governing board of World Boxing, along with colleagues from Great Britain, Germany, and the Netherlands, among other countries.

Previously, the US national teams had declined to participate in both the men's and women's world championships organized by the IBA.
