Upset! Joseph Parker defeats Deontay Wilder

On December 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, American ex-champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) met with New Zealand former world champion Joseph Parker (33-3, 23 KOs).

The fight ended with Joseph Parker winning by unanimous decision.

This was Deontay Wilder's first fight in a year. Parker fought four matches in 2023. He won two of them ahead of schedule and two by decision.

Before the fight, there was talk about a clash between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder in the spring of 2024.
