Ukrainian WBA bantamweight champion Artem Dalakyan (21-0, 15 KOs) and Costa Rican challenger David Jimenez (12-0, 9 KOs) have signed a fight contract.
The match will take place on January 28 in London at Wembley. It will take place in the undercard of the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Anthony Yard.
Earlier it was reported that a meeting between Dalakyan and Jimenez could be organized in Costa Rica.
34-year-old Dalakyan won the title of world champion in 2018. In November 2021, in a match against Luis Concepcion, the Ukrainian successfully defended the belt for the fifth time.
Jimenez defeated the American Ricardo Sandoval in a fight for the status of a mandatory contender for the WBA belt. According to the results of the match, the judges gave the victory to the Costa Rican by the majority of votes.
