Ukrainian welterweight slugger Maksym Prodan, fresh off his victory over Miguel Cesario Antin, is eyeing a February title shot.
"Eight rounds in the bag, and it's got me primed for a February title fight. Sure, I racked up the rounds, but I was gunning for a knockout," Prodan reflected.
Known for his knockout hunt in the ring, Prodan admitted this time was different. "Wanted a KO, but Antin was tough as nails, like punching a wooden table. He took the hits but wouldn't drop," he recounts.
Victory in hand, Prodan emphasized, "Winning's what counts." The Ukrainian triumphed over Miguel Cesario Antin on December 17, with the judges scoring it 79-75 and twice 77-75 in his favor.
