Former undisputed world champion Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) has made it clear that he is taking his next opponent, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul (10-1, 7 KOs), very seriously.
"Forget what everyone says: 'This guy’s a YouTuber.' This guy’s a fighter. I’ve done a lot of things too, but I’m a fighter. I’m an actor, a salesman, an entrepreneur, but we’re fighters. That’s what we really are. So is he.
I feel anxiety and fear, so I’m very different from the rest. I take him very seriously. Others don’t. The way I see people – they’re all capable of killing you. My job is to not underestimate them because they’re capable of killing me. I don’t have overconfidence in anyone in life," said Tyson.
It’s worth noting that during their face-off, Mike pushed Jake.
The 8-round bout between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is scheduled for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, USA.
The fight was initially set for July 20 but was postponed due to a flare-up of Tyson’s ulcer. The bout is officially sanctioned as a professional heavyweight contest (over 90.7 kg), and the result will be recorded in the fighters’ official records. The event will be streamed by Netflix.
