Former world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker commented on rumours that former heavyweight champion Jai Opetaia knocked out Tyson Fury and consequently left the British fighter's training camp:
"I know that Opetaia never knocked Tyson out. I feel like going online and saying, 'Hey, stop it, guys.' But I don't want to get involved in that. I want to save my energy for my own fight.
"Tyson knows what happened, and Jai Opetaia knows what happened. They went their separate ways, each of them doing their own training. Many are commenting on this, but people don't know what really happened.
"What happens in the ring is what matters, but I know about it. Tyson is in great shape. Jai is training hard, he will be in great shape. They will both put on a great performance on fight day.
"I'm looking forward to their fights. I hope I will be there and support them both," said Parker.
Earlier, promotional outfit Tasman Fighters, representing the interests of Jai Opetaia, denied the information about the knockout."
