Former world champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) spoke about how he feels regarding Anthony Joshua's (28-4, 25 KOs) loss to IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs). The British fighter is also convinced that his bout with Anthony is still relevant and will generate excitement among boxing fans.
"I feel sorry for Joshua. He was beaten in his last fight in five rounds, so he will have to deal with that again and then decide on his future.
I’ve said that after each loss, Anthony Joshua feels a sense of emptiness. When your opponent loses, and it’s not you, you genuinely feel sadness and depression about it. I felt sad for him. It was hard to see a worthy opponent lose his title.
I would still fight him even if he had five, ten, or twenty losses. It doesn’t matter because at this stage of our careers, it all comes down to good fights. I think it will still be an entertaining and interesting fight for those willing to pay for it," said Fury.
On December 21, Tyson Fury will have his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs). In their first encounter, the Ukrainian won by split decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) since 1999.
In September, Daniel Dubois knocked out Anthony Joshua in the 5th round.
