Mike and Jake Advocated for Sanctioning the Fight

On July 20th in Arlington, Texas, USA, a fight will take place between YouTuber and boxer Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) and former undisputed world champion Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs). Promoter and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), Nakisa Bidarian, who represents Jake, commented on the sanctioning of the fight as a professional bout, with the results being recorded in the fighters' records.

"Mike Tyson and Jake Paul agreed to the fight, and both boxers wanted the fight to be conducted under professional rules, with an official result. Over the last six weeks, MVP has been working with its partners to meet the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements to sanction the Paul vs. Tyson fight as a professional bout, and we are grateful that we were permitted to do so," said Bidarian.

Earlier, Jake claimed that it was Mike and Netflix who wanted the fight to be professional.

A press conference was also announced to cover the Paul vs. Tyson fight and the rematch between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor.
