Turki Told Hearn He Wants to Stage Joshua–Fury

Turki Alalshikh, Anthony Joshua, Eddie Hearn / Mark Robonson, Matchroom Boxing

Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn spoke about the intentions of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh regarding heavyweight star Anthony Joshua.

"Next year we’ll fight in February, and then — Tyson Fury, if Turki Alalshikh executes his plans and strategy. We spoke with him in London this week. Everything we do with Anthony Joshua will follow that plan and be done under Turki’s guidance. He has given us incredible opportunities, and the roadmap will be built together with him.

It’s Turki’s responsibility to speak with Tyson Fury and try to make a deal. I can’t tell you for sure that we’re fighting Tyson Fury.

If AJ doesn’t fight Tyson Fury, it will mean Turki wasn’t able to make the fight happen. The responsibility will be on him — and I don’t believe he will fail. I think you’ll see AJ vs Tyson Fury in 2026, and it will be the biggest fight we’ve ever seen in British boxing,” Hearn said.

The promoter was also asked about a potential fight between Joshua and Jake Paul.
