The head of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, announced that he has a strategic vision to address the problems facing modern boxing.
"We have been planning our activities carefully for the past six months. We are spending money to commercialize our season and, at the same time, to test the market and know all the market's secrets. Now we have a lot of information, we have our own research, and we think that based on what we've checked in the last six months, there are big opportunities in boxing. But you have to improve the market. You have to solve all the problems.
Boxing is broken, but I think we don't need to revert everything. We need to improve it by other means. We have a strategic vision where we've identified untapped opportunities and aim to enhance the market," said Turki.
