The head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, discussed plans to expand the geography of Riyadh Season boxing events.
According to him, there is a possibility of organizing a heavyweight fight between Martin Bakole (21-1, 16 KOs) and Zhang Zhilei (27-2-1, 22 KOs).
This showdown could take place at the end of 2024 either in Africa or China. Bakole hails from the Democratic Republic of Congo, while Zhilei represents China.
"Who else is giving Bakole these opportunities? This will be his second fight with us in 10 months," Turki stated.
Earlier this month, Bakole knocked out Jared Anderson. In early June, Zhilei scored a stoppage victory over Deontay Wilder.
