Turki Alalshikh Dreams of Hosting Fights at Colosseum, Alcatraz, and Eiffel Tower

Turki Alalshikh, the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, has revealed his ambitious vision of staging combat sports events in some of the world’s most iconic historical locations.

"What if one day we host a show inside Alcatraz? It’s a museum now. Sometimes, I think about organizing fights in truly unique places: in the mountains, near the pyramids in Mexico, on the Eiffel Tower in France, or even inside the Colosseum in Italy. Do you understand this concept?

If the local authorities—especially the mayor—approve, I believe these would be ideal locations. Imagine a fight on Mount Rushmore or aboard a massive aircraft carrier in New York. You see what I mean? Or even at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. This is my vision, and I want to make it happen," Alalshikh stated.

With Riyadh Season already revolutionizing boxing promotion, could historic and legendary battlefields become the next stage for combat sports?
