Turki: “In September we will prepare a big surprise for fans in England”

Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority Turki Alalshikh has announced new Riyadh Season shows in London, as well as a fight in Saudi Arabia featuring former British world champion Anthony Joshua.

Turki also hinted at “a big surprise for fans in England” in September. The organizer did not reveal details, though it is likely related to a Joshua vs. Tyson Fury showdown.

“I am speaking with Eddie (Hearn, head of Matchroom Boxing), and next year we will have two big events here in London. It will be a surprise.

In February, Joshua will fight with us (in Saudi Arabia), and then there will be a major bout — one of the most important in the history of boxing — which will likely take place here in London in September.

I won’t give you a direct answer, but in April we will have a fight at Tottenham, big events, and in September we will prepare a big surprise for fans in England,” Turki said.
