According to insider Michael Benson, Turki Al-Sheikh, the head of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, is interested in hosting more fights in the lighter weight classes in Saudi Arabia.
This includes the lightweight (up to 61.2 kg), super lightweight (up to 63.5 kg), and lower categories. Next month, Turki plans to visit Japan and will attempt to persuade the undisputed super bantamweight champion (up to 55.2 kg) Naoya Inoue (26-0, 23 KOs) to fight in Saudi Arabia.
Naoya Inoue's next fight is scheduled against Mexican Luis Nery (35-1, 27 KOs) on May 6th in Tokyo, Japan.
