Tszyu Has a Rematch Clause with Fundora

The CEO of No Limit Boxing and promoter of former champion Tim Tszyu (24-1, 17 KOs), George Rose, discussed the potential rematch between his client and the WBC and WBO super welterweight (up to 69,9 kg) champion Sebastian Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs).

"Tim knows we have the opportunity to exercise the rematch clause. And if he wants, we will go for it. I would like him to use this right and reclaim the titles. I'd be happy if the rematch is next, although it wasn't in our plans for the year.

Why might the rematch not happen next? Because Tim will have other options. And if among his options there are fights with Errol Spence or Terence Crawford, it would be foolish to ignore them.

Tim hasn't lost in his market value. On the contrary, he once again proved that he's a true warrior in the ring. He proved he's ready to step into the ring at any moment and put everything on the line. He fought for 10 rounds with a huge cut and only lost by split decision," said Rose.

On the night of March 31st, Sebastian Fundora won by split decision against Tim Tszyu and became the WBC and WBO super welterweight champion.
