Tszyu's Purse for Crawford Fight Could Set a Record!

The team of Australian WBO super welterweight champion Tim Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs) is already discussing purses for a fight against American Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs), even before Tszyu's upcoming bout with Sebastian Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs).

On March 30 in the USA, Tszyu will box against Fundora for the WBC and WBO titles. Should Tszyu win, he will be obligated to face Crawford, who has utilized his status as the WBO "super champion" at welterweight (up to 147 lbs) to secure a title fight against the current champion in the heavier weight class.

According to information from the Australian Associated Press, Tim is set to receive a guaranteed purse of $10 million USD for the fight against Terence. No Australian athlete has ever received such an amount for a single event.
