Nikita Tsyzu vs Michael Zerafa Scheduled for January 16 – Brunch Boxing

According to Brunch Boxing, 27-year-old Australian and WBO Inter-Continental super welterweight titleholder Nikita Tsyzu will face his 33-year-old compatriot Michael Zerafa in his next fight. The bout is scheduled for January 16 in Australia.

The fight was initially planned for December but had to be postponed after Tsyzu was involved in a car accident earlier in the month. Fortunately, the injuries turned out to be minor, but the boxer decided to take a little more time to recover before resuming full training, which led to the new January date.

The fight will be held at a catchweight of 157 lbs (71.2 kg), a limit both fighters agreed to.

In August, Nikita Tsyzu (11-0, 9 KOs) claimed an early victory over Lulzim Ismaili, whose corner stopped the fight after the first round.

That same month, Michael Zerafa (34-5, 22 KOs) defeated Mikey Dalman via first-round technical knockout.
