Former world champion in the light middleweight division (up to 154 lbs), American Austin Trout (37-5-1, 18 KOs), is confident that the current WBO champion of the same division, Australian Tim Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs), stands no chance against him.
"I'll beat his ears off, dude. He just keeps moving forward. When you're in the ring with him, you need to stay active because it's well-known that he's coming for his punches. Counter-attack while his punch is in motion, and then take a step to the side. I'll catch him at the beginning of his punch. He won't be able to escape," Trout declared.
The last time Austin fought was in the fall of 2023, where he won by a decision in an 8-round match against an opponent with a 13-10 record. Trout also balances his boxing career with bare-knuckle fighting, boasting a record of 2-0, 1 KO.
Tszyu will be boxing against Sebastian Fundora for the WBC belt in the light middleweight division on March 30. The winner is obligated to meet with Terence Crawford, who will be moving up to a new division.
