Tournament 5 vs 5: the couples have been announced

On April 15th, a press conference was held announcing the details of the 5 vs 5 tournament between Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions. During the event, the boxers who will compete in the undercard of the light heavyweight world title fight (up to 79.37 kg) between titleholder Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) and WBA and IBO champion Dmitry Bivol (22-0, 11 KOs) were revealed. The event is scheduled for June 1st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Tournament rules and pairings were determined by Eddie Hearn from Matchroom and Frank Warren from Queensberry, with the final category selected by the event organizer Turki Al-Sheikh.

Tournament Regulations:

Victory by decision – 1 point;

Victory by knockout – 2 points;

Draw – 0 points.

The team with the highest total points will be declared the winner.

Heavyweight: Zhilei Zhang (26-2-1, 21 KOs) vs. Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs)

The high-profile pairing of Wilder vs. Zhang was specifically chosen by tournament organizer Turki Al-Sheikh.
