Top Rank Offered Shakur Millions in New Contract

According to insider Michael Benson, WBC lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) turned down an offer to continue working with the promotional company Top Rank.

The deal amounted to $15 million for 5 fights – $3 million per fight in guaranteed purses.

As a result, Shakur has become a free agent. He is currently managing his own affairs, but Eddie Hearn has already been in contact with the boxer's representatives.

On the night of July 7th, Shakur Stevenson won a unanimous decision against Artem Harutyunyan (12-2, 7 KOs) to defend his title.
