Is It Too Late for Fury – Joshua? Warren Responds

Founder and head of Queensberry Promotions Frank Warren responded to the question of whether it’s too late to stage a showdown between Britain’s former Heavyweight world champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

This fight has been talked about for a long time, and recently the discussion has picked up again. It all depends on whether this fight with AJ happens. For example, if he faces Jake Paul and beats him, and depending on what’s next for Tyson. Who knows if they’ll be able to strike a deal.

It’s a fight that never happened, though it should have. Is it too late? I think the interest in this bout is enormous. Every time we talk about Tyson and AJ, the question comes up — when will they finally share the ring?

If Tyson wants to continue his career, then I see the possibility of this fight taking place. It depends on both fighters. If they both want it and agree on the terms, the fight will definitely happen. But no one is going to force them into it,” Warren said.

Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) has not fought since September, when he was knocked out in the fifth round by Daniel Dubois.

Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) suffered two decision losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024 before announcing his retirement. However, Fury has repeatedly hinted at a comeback in recent months.
