Tony Yoka Loses Third Consecutive Bout

French heavyweight boxer and 2016 Olympic champion, Tony Yoka, faced his third defeat in the professional arena. This time, he squared off against Riad Merhi from Belgium, boasting a record of 32-2 with 26 KOs. After 10 rounds, two judges scored the bout in favor of Merhi with a tally of 96-94, while the third judge saw Yoka as the winner with an identical score of 96-94. The match unfolded in Paris, France.

Tony Yoka, renowned for winning the Rio 2016 Olympics, secured victories against Filip Hrgovic in the semifinals and Joe Joyce in the finals. However, in his professional career, Yoka hasn't tasted victory since September 2021, experiencing defeats against Martin Bakole in May 2022 and Carlos Takam in March of the same year.
