Former world champion and current boxing analyst Tony Bellew shared his thoughts on a possible British showdown between Tyson Fury (34–2–1, 24 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (28–4, 25 KOs).
“Will this fight sell out Wembley? Undoubtedly. I’m certain everyone will tune in for the first press conference, where Joshua is sitting at one table and Fury at the other. Will one come dressed as Bane and the other as Batman? You just never know what could happen.
The one who bounces back from defeat better will prevail. I’ve always said Joshua can knock out Fury. I just don’t know where his head is at right now. If Joshua goes in and decides to let his punches fly—he can knock out anybody. If he tries to box Tyson Fury, then he could lose really badly. But if he lets his hands go, he can knock out anyone. Let that be Joshua,” Bellew said.
On December 21, Tyson Fury lost by unanimous decision to Oleksandr Usyk. In September, Anthony Joshua was knocked out in the 5th round by Daniel Dubois.
