Former world champion Tony Bellew answered who, in his view, could pose the biggest problems in the ring for undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
“People won’t like this, but the one who’d give him the best fight is probably Tyson Fury. People don’t like it when I say that, but he’s the one who gave him more trouble.
Who else could be a challenge for Usyk? Fury or AJ (Anthony Joshua). In the rematch with AJ the scores were level right up until the tenth round,” Bellew told talkSPORT Boxing.
In 2024 Oleksandr Usyk (24‑0, 15 KOs) defeated Tyson Fury (34‑2‑1, 24 KOs) twice; afterward the Briton announced his retirement, though he recently called Usyk out for a third fight at Wembley on 28 April 2026.
On 19 July, Usyk stopped Daniel Dubois in the fifth round to become an undisputed champion for the third time. Following the bout, the WBO sanctioned a fight between the Ukrainian and interim titleholder Joseph Parker.
