Tony Bellew Confident Anthony Joshua's Next Opponent Will Be Tyson Fury

Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew is convinced that Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) plans to face WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) in his upcoming bout.

"From the outside looking in, my thinking is it's Fury. I can't dress it up as anything else. Fury's obviously got to have a fight. He probably said 'I want another fight before I fight AJ,' and it wouldn't surprise me if they told AJ he can't have an interim fight because they don't want to risk anything," Bellew shared with boxing-social.com.

Bellew expressed surprise at the situation, as he knows Joshua wants to return to Dallas and train with Derrick James. "I'm shocked, to be honest. I think AJ would want another [fight], but that is something that Fury would do. 100% they would say we don't want anything to risk this. And I get it because it's such a huge fight, and AJ's coming off a win."
