Timothy Bradley: "When the Heck Was the Last Time Canelo Knocked Somebody Out?"

Former champion Timothy Bradley addressed WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) titleholder Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs), calling on him to fight WBA super welterweight (up to 69.9 kg) champion Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs):

Canelo, don’t run. You already avoided a fight with Benavidez… Fight Crawford. Everyone wants to see this fight. It’s a chance for Crawford to prove his greatness to you and the whole world.

Everyone’s talking about the weight: ‘Oh, he’s gonna knock him out.’ But when the heck was the last time Canelo knocked somebody out? Doesn’t matter if they’re big or small—he hasn’t been knocking anyone out… So let’s stop with that talk, he’s not gonna knock out Crawford,” Bradley stated.

In September, Canelo defended his titles against Edgar Berlanga, winning by unanimous decision. The last time Canelo stopped someone early was in November 2021, when he halted Caleb Plant by 11th-round TKO.

In August, Terence Crawford moved up in weight and defeated Israil Madrimov by unanimous decision, taking the WBA title.
