Thurman vs. Tszyu: Fight Under Question

According to insider Dan Rafael, citing sources involved in the event, American welterweight (up to 66.7 kg) Keith Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs) has sustained an injury. His fight against Australian WBO super welterweight champion (up to 69.8 kg) Tim Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs) is now in doubt.

"How many times have you seen a fighter see a doctor 12 days before a fight due to an injury, and the fight still took place? Doesn't look very good," said a source.

The bout between Keith Thurman and Tim Tszyu is scheduled for March 30 in Las Vegas, USA.

The undercard of the show is expected to feature the following matches:

– Sebastian Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs) and Serhii Bohachuk (23-1, 23 KOs) will compete for the vacant WBC super welterweight title;

– Erislandy Lara (29-3-3, 17 KOs) will defend the WBA middleweight title (up to 72.5 kg) for the second time against Michael Zerafa (31-4, 19 KOs);

– Rolando Romero (15-1, 13 KOs) will make his first defense of the WBA super lightweight title (up to 63.5 kg) against Mexican Isaac Cruz (25-2-1, 17 KOs).
