Former world champion Keith Thurman believes that two-time undisputed champion Terence Crawford should not be underestimated in a potential matchup against WBC, WBA, and WBO champion in the super middleweight division, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
“Crawford will offer Canelo speed and quality defense. When Canelo fought Jermell Charlo, he was able to effectively shield himself from Saul’s onslaught, aside from the knockdown. Crawford can remain unscathed, just like Charlo, Floyd, and Bivol. You need to fight at a 10 out of 10 and avoid making mistakes,” said Thurman.
Crawford and Canelo are expected to return to the ring in 2025, though details about their opponents have not yet been revealed.
