British heavyweight Daniel Dubois reflected on his loss to undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk, paying respect to the unbeaten Ukrainian.
“Things didn’t go the way I wanted. Congratulations to Oleksandr Usyk—a great champion. I’m back to work. I’ll show myself again,” Dubois said.
The Briton’s promoter, Frank Warren, confirmed that Dubois will likely not fight again until the end of 2025.
After recovering, the 27‑year‑old is expected to take a tune‑up to restore confidence, then target a serious opponent. Possible options include Martin Bakole, Efe Ajagba, and Fabio Wardley.
On 19 July, Oleksandr Usyk (24‑0, 15 KOs) stopped Daniel Dubois (22‑3, 21 KOs) in round five to become a three‑time undisputed champion.
