The WBA's decision to defend Usyk's title will not prevent the fight for the "absolute" with Fury

The fight for the title of absolute world champion in super heavyweight between Oleksandr Usyk and Britain's Tyson Fury will take priority over the mandatory defense of the WBA belt.

This was announced by insider Mike Coppinger on Twitter.

He reminded that DuBois and Fury have one promoter - Frank Warren.

"The WBA decision will not prevent Fury-Usyk from having a fight for the absolute championship. Both Fury and Dubois are promoted by Warren. But Dubois will be next in line for a mandatory fight. There is a rotation for the unified champions, and now it is established, that he is next," Coppinger wrote.

We will remind that the World Boxing Association (WBA) obliged Usyk to defend the title. Mandatory contender is the British Daniel Dubois.

Earlier, the IBF also obliged Usyk to fight against the mandatory contender - Filip Hrhovych.
