Taras Shelestyuk, the 2012 Olympics bronze medalist and professional boxer, recently made an interesting decision to go without food for an entire day, a choice which he documented in a story on his Instagram page.
After completing the 20-hour fast, Shelestyuk updated his followers with a video detailing his feelings and experience.
"I feel good. I felt weak during training. But the general condition is good. I thought it would be much more difficult, but it is very easy to spend the day without food and to clean the body. Just drink water and a cup of espresso without sugar and milk," said the boxer.
After 24 hours, Shelestyuk made another post on the social network, where he reported that he was feeling well.
"24 hours without food. Easy work. This is now my weekly routine. Health, happiness and a long life," wrote Taras.
Intermittent fasting is a practice of abstaining from food for a brief period of time. Many believe that this method of nutrition can significantly enhance one's overall health and wellbeing.
