Updated The Ring Heavyweight Rankings: Bakole's Breakthrough, Anderson's Fall

The oldest boxing publication, The Ring, has updated its rankings of the best heavyweight boxers (over 90.7 kg). The champion status is held by WBA, WBC, WBO, IBO, and The Ring titleholder Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs). Following him are Britons Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs), as well as WBO interim champion from New Zealand, Joseph Parker (35-3, 23 KOs).

The most significant change occurred after the fight on the night of August 4, in which Congo's Martin Bakole (21-1, 16 KOs) dismantled American prospect Jared Anderson (17-1, 15 KOs). Bakole climbed three spots to secure the seventh position. Consequently, Jared, who was ranked seventh before the loss, fell out of the top 10. His spot in the rankings was taken by Australian Justis Huni (10-0, 5 KOs).
