Insider Mike Coppinger reports that WBO, WBC, and WBA welterweight champion Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) has become a free agent.
It's claimed that Crawford signed a one-fight deal with Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) for a clash with American Errol Spence Jr. (28-1, 22 KOs), and the window for a rematch has closed, indicating he is now a free agent for promotion and broadcasting.
Crawford and Spence squared off last July in Las Vegas, USA. In that bout, Spence was knocked down in the second round and twice more in the seventh. By the ninth round, the referee stopped the fight, awarding Terence the victory by technical knockout.
