Teofimo to Defend Title Against Claggett

Promotional company Top Rank has announced the next opponent for WBO junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KOs). The American will defend his title against Canadian Steve Claggett (38-7-2, 26 KOs). The bout is set to take place on June 29 in Miami, USA.

Lopez last fought in February against Jemaine Ortiz (17-2-1, 8 KOs), winning by unanimous decision. Claggett secured a victory in January against Marcos Gonzalez Barrasa after Barrasa's corner stopped the fight.
