WBO super lightweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KOs) has responded to challenges from WBC lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) and lightweight Keyshawn Davis (10-0, 7 KOs).
"Shakur and this kid Keyshawn, wanting an easy route to fame. He hasn't done anything in boxing yet, he doesn't even have a belt. Everything he's achieved now – I had all that in my first year as a pro. I became a world champion just over two years after starting my career.
Shakur and Keyshawn just don't want me to fight their pimp Crawford. He's a pimp for all these boxers. I could have had a fight with him at a catchweight between super lightweight and welterweight. But he refused. However, he knows he'll still have to fight me. Everyone's pressuring him," Lopez said to Punsh Drunk Boxing.
In his last fight, Teofimo defeated Jemaine Ortiz by decision, after which he again challenged Terence Crawford. Keyshawn Davis is trained by the same coach as Terence Crawford – Brian McIntyre. Shakur Stevenson has been longtime friends with Crawford.
