WBO junior welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez had his first face-off with interim titleholder Arnold Barboza, whom he is set to fight soon. Their initial exchange was anything but friendly.

Teofimo (T): I can smell you. I can’t stand being near you.

Barboza (B): You talk for the cameras like a little bh. I know who you are. We both do.*

T: Where are you going? Why are you backing up, py?*

B: F** that, let’s go.*

T: You wanna fight here?

B: I can do it anywhere.

T: I don’t fight here. I fight in the ring. That’s my job.

The Lopez vs. Barboza showdown is scheduled for May 2 in New York’s Times Square. The undercard will also feature fights from Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney.
