Teofimo Lopez at the Olympics?

WBO champion in the lightweight division (up to 63.5 kg), Teofimo Lopez, has expressed interest in the possibility of competing in the Paris Olympics in 2024:

"Can I compete in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024?" – wrote Lopez, tagging the U.S. Boxing Federation and American and Honduran media covering the Olympics.

The Olympics in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11. Lopez represented Honduras at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, losing in the opening round. According to modern rules of amateur boxing, professionals can combine their amateur and professional careers.

Manny Pacquiao has also previously discussed the possibility and dream of competing in the Olympics.

Teofimo Lopez's next fight is scheduled for February 8 against Jamaine Ortiz.
