According to journalist Chris Mannix, WBO Junior Welterweight champion Teofimo Lopez was offered a fight against WBC Lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson.
“At first, Teofimo rejected the offer, which I was told was $6 million.
Now, though, I think he’s ready to accept it — and that’s why he’s been so active on Twitter.
It’s still unclear if the Saudis are willing to return to the table and repeat that offer. From what I understand, Teofimo’s team has been working hard over the past few days to make this fight happen again.
The preliminary target date is January, but Shakur will fight early next year in Saudi Arabia regardless,” said Mannix.
Earlier, Teofimo Lopez became the featured star of the updated version of the video game Undisputed.
