WBO super lightweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KOs) took to Twitter to publicly address Bob Arum, the head of Top Rank Promotions.
"How many times do I have to go through 'take it or leave it'? What a joke," Teofimo wrote, tagging Top Rank's and Bob Arum's official accounts in his post.
This is not the first conflict between Teofimo and Top Rank. Lopez previously claimed that he was receiving too little in purses and even announced plans to retire.
Following this, promoter Eddie Hearn stated that he would not want to have a client like Lopez because he does not understand his market value and demands excessively high and unjustified purses.
Teofimo Lopez last entered the ring in February against Jermaine Ortiz (17-2-1, 8 KOs) and defended his title by unanimous decision.
