Former unified lightweight world champion, Teofimo Lopez, weighed in on the upcoming match between Vasyl Lomachenko and Devin Haney.
Despite Haney's physical edge, Lopez firmly believes that Lomachenko, the Ukrainian, will emerge victorious.
"Size doesn't determine the fight's outcome. Loma has competed against bigger opponents before. Just consider his Olympic history - he's a two-time Olympic champion. He boasts 400 amateur fights under his belt. Professionally, he's carved out an impressive career, having been a world champion across three divisions," Lopez explained.
"Throughout his career, he's taken on all types - tall, short, heavy, light. Even though Devin boasts a strong jab, he won't be able to land the finishing blow, he's too cautious," Lopez opined in an interview with Boxing Scene.
Just a reminder, the Haney versus Lomachenko bout is set to take place on May 20 in Las Vegas. Previously, it was reported that Lopez's father had also shared his predictions for the match.
