Taylor Discusses Why He No Longer Collaborates with Joshua's Coach

Former undisputed super lightweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Brit Josh Taylor (19-1, 13 KOs) shared why he no longer works with Ben Davison, the current coach of Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs).

Joshua is working with your former coach Ben Davison. What do you think about their collaboration? Will we see a better Joshua in a possible upcoming fight against Fury?

It's a good partnership, Ben is a good coach. It just didn't quite work out for me, we stopped being in contact, but Ben is a good guy and a good coach, and it seems Joshua is enjoying it.

I'd like to think that Joshua and Fury will meet. We've been talking for so many years about getting those two to fight. I'd like to think we'll see that fight. I think Tyson was just preparing for the fight with Ngannou as if it was an exhibition, barely trained, wasn't focused. I believe a fully focused Tyson will do the same job. Styles make fights, and Joshua caught Ngannou. It was a great punch. But I knew it was going to happen anyway, said Taylor.

Taylor is set to fight Jack Catterall next on May 25th in a rematch. In their first meeting, Josh won by split decision.
