Taylor and Catterall Nearly Brawl at Press Conference

Future opponents in the junior welterweight division (up to 63.5 kg), Scot Josh Taylor (19-1, 13 KOs) and Brit Jack Catterall (28-1, 13 KOs), held their first press conference following the announcement of their rematch. The tension was palpable from the start, as Catterall grabbed Taylor by the throat during their initial face-off, with only the security team preventing a fight from breaking out.

This isn't the first time emotions have run high between the two; Josh Taylor also made moves during the weigh-in ceremony before their first fight in February 2022. The initial bout between Taylor and Catterall ended with Josh winning by a split decision from the judges.
