Former undisputed junior welterweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Josh Taylor (19-1, 13 KOs) held a repeat press conference ahead of his rematch against Jack Catterall (28-1, 13 KOs).
It all came down to another scuffle. At the first press conference, Catterall grabbed Taylor by the throat. Josh says such actions by the Briton reflect on his level of intelligence.
"He tried to choke me. I wanted to hit him with a left hook, but Eddie Hearn pushed him in the shoulder, so nothing came of it. It's good because that could have ended the fight right there.
He could have gotten a cut or broken my arm. Someone could have fallen off the stage and broken a leg or something like that. This guy's intelligence – he's a fool.
It's not that I don't like him – he's just so stupid. It's unbelievable," Taylor said for ProBox TV.
The rematch between Josh and Jack is set to take place on April 27 at First Direct Arena in Leeds, United Kingdom.
