Takuma Inoue Defeats Nasukawa, Becomes WBC Bantamweight Champion

On November 24 at Toyota Arena Tokyo, Japan, a title bout for the vacant WBC bantamweight championship (53.5 kg) took place between 27-year-old Tenshin Nasukawa and his 29-year-old compatriot Takuma Inoue.

The fight went the full distance and ended by unanimous decision: 116–112, 116–112, 117–111 — all in favor of Takuma Inoue. UD 12.

Nasukawa (7–1, 2 KO) had won his previous three fights on points. This is the first loss of his professional career. Inoue (20–2, 5 KO) entered the ring coming off a unanimous-decision defeat to Sei Tsutsumi.
