Sulaiman Ranks 24th Among Most Influential Boxing Figures

Mauricio Sulaiman, President of the World Boxing Council (WBC) and advisor to Ready to Fight, has been named the 24th most influential figure in boxing by Boxing News Online, securing his spot in the top 50 most influential boxing figures.

Taking over as WBC President in 2014, a position previously held by his father, Jose Sulaiman, Mauricio has played a pivotal role in steering one of the most forward-thinking organizations in professional boxing. Notably, it was after the WBC's reforms that major changes, such as the reduction of rounds in professional bouts from 15 to 12, were implemented. Furthermore, the WBC is credited with introducing a new weight class, bridgerweight, positioned between the heavyweight and super heavyweight divisions.

Last year, the WBC and Ready to Fight entered into a memorandum of understanding, further solidifying their collaboration in the boxing world.
