Fight Background
Paro has seized a potential lucky break. The victory over Montana Love was the first significant win in Liam's career. He traveled to the USA for the second time to defeat a prospect in his comeback fight.
Love looked good in the bout, landing well with the jab and moving fluidly until Paro landed an uppercut followed by successful follow-up punches.
The fight against Liam will be Matias's first under his contract with Matchroom Boxing. Eddie Hearn signed the boxer, who has made five opponents quit and is one of the least desired opponents for other champions. Of course, names like Teofimo Lopez have been mentioned, but other champions are not eager to step into the ring with Matias.
Both Subriel and Liam have enough defensive issues to allow their opponents to land punches. They also have the skills to impose their style of boxing. Matias will pressure, throw multi-punch combinations, and try to overwhelm his opponent. In response, Paro can hit hard – while he may not be a classic puncher, he has a very solid punch.
Eddie Hearn chose a strong opponent for Subriel's first fight at home since 2019. In his last show in Puerto Rico, Matias defeated Argentine Jonathan Eniz in five rounds.
