Spence Could Snatch Title Fight from Crawford

Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, believes Errol Spence Jr. only needs to make one call to secure a fight with the winner of the Tim Tszyu vs. Sebastian Fundora bout instead of Terence Crawford.

"I have nothing against Crawford, but Spence is family. He's been with PBC for years. Terence is a beast, but he's not with PBC. He's a free agent.

I know the PPV numbers. A Spence fight against the winner of Tszyu-Fundora would be bigger than Crawford against the winner.

Errol is among Al Haymon's close circle at PBC. People don't understand the business. Errol lost the fight. That night, he lost to a better fighter, the phenomenal Crawford. Many consider him the best boxer in the world. But sometimes performance is different from business.

No disrespect to anyone. But if Errol wants that opportunity, he'll pick up the phone and talk to Haymon," Ellerbe told Fighthype.

Terence Crawford used his "super champion" status with the WBO to earn the right to fight the WBO champion in the next weight class in his debut fight at that weight. Tszyu and Fundora will contest for the WBO and WBC titles at super welterweight (up to 69.85 kg) in their fight, set to take place overnight from March 30th to 31st.
