Spence Hints at Career Finale

Today, May 24, it was announced that WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion (up to 69.85 kg) Sebastian Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) and Errol Spence Jr. (28-1, 22 KOs) have agreed to a fight.

According to preliminary information, the bout will take place in October in Dallas, USA, with Fundora’s WBC title on the line.

Later, Spence posted a message on his social media that likely hints at his potential retirement from professional boxing after the fight with Fundora.

«It might be the last time you see me…,» Spence wrote.

The boxer later deleted the message.

In March, Sebastian Fundora won a split decision over Tim Tszyu (24-1, 17 KOs) to become the WBC and WBO champion in the junior middleweight division. Errol Spence Jr. has not fought since July 2023, when he lost by technical knockout to Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs).
