27-year-old American middleweight Troy Isley shared his experience from being part of Devin Haney’s training camp ahead of the former undisputed lightweight champion’s upcoming fight against WBO welterweight titleholder Brian Norman.
“He doesn’t have the biggest punch, but power isn’t everything. It’s all about skill. He did a few things that reminded me of Floyd.
Devin is a great fighter. He’s got a good jab and excellent distance control. Yeah, I think he’s on his way to legendary status. He’s very fast. I think when I start facing guys in my own weight class, it won’t be a problem,” Isley told MillCity Boxing.
The fight between Brian Norman (28-0, 22 KOs) and Devin Haney (32-0, 15 KOs) will take place on November 22 at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Troy Isley (15-0, 5 KOs) last fought in June, earning a unanimous decision victory over Etohundi Michel William.
